2022 – Present: OER Coordinator & Political Science Librarian

2016-2022: OER Coordinator & Social Sciences Librarian

  • Direct Adopt a Free Textbook faculty grant program: $10 million+ cumulative & projected student savings, ROI of $48 for every dollar spent, supporting 138 grants awarded to date
  • Coordinate outreach to campus partners in support of OER efforts
  • Partner with Academic Innovation to administer UTSA Pressbooks, OER Adoption and Design Certificates, and more
  • Coordinate and ensure campus alignment with SB 810 and HB 1027
  • Collect and report statistics on OER cost, outcome, usage and perceptions
  • Lead UTSA subject specialist librarians in OER initiatives
  • Train faculty, librarians & staff on OER-related topics
  • Lead OER awareness, Creative Commons, & Pressbooks faculty workshops

Scholarly Resources/Social Sciences Librarian

  • Plan, tailor, and instruct on discovery, use, and evaluation of information
  • Work with faculty to design, test, and assess assignments
